High School Academy

9th-12th Grade | 5 Week Session | 2 Practices/Week

High School Academy is designed for athletes who want to continue developing their volleyball skills without the commitment of a competitive club team. Each session combines fast-paced skill development with competitive game play to help athletes prepare for and elevate their next season.

Practice Structure

Instruction & Skills
Practices feature fast-paced, game-like drills with personalized coaching focused on skill development and overall understanding of the game.

Scrimmage
Beginning in Week 3, practices incorporate scrimmage play with teams mixed throughout the session. Individual wins are tracked throughout the five weeks, with the athlete who finishes with the most wins earning an IVC + Lululemon prize.

Sessions

Each High School Academy session runs for 5 weeks, with two 1-hour practices per week. Sessions are offered three times per year with Fall, Winter and Spring sessions.

What to Bring

Athletes should arrive ready to play in athletic clothing, including shorts or leggings, a comfortable T-shirt, socks, and athletic shoes. Long hair should be pulled back. Kneepads are optional.

Parent Information

Parents and guardians are welcome to watch and support their athlete. During practice, we ask that coaching and athlete communication be left to the coaches. If a parent's presence becomes a distraction for the athlete or group, they may be asked to leave.

USAV Membership: A current USAV membership is required for all athletes participating in Inspire Academy programs. Families are responsible for purchasing their athlete’s annual USAV membership directly through the Alaska Region.

Parking: Parking directly in front of the gym is reserved for coaching staff. Please use the larger church parking lot located on the other side of the playground.
